It's a great demonstration Bob.....but that's exactly what it is a SALES demonstration.

Whilst that demo looks convincing, you must realise that it has been set up to favour the locking diff.

In the real world we all drive on the land (Terra Firma), not a set of rollers that have absolutely ZERO friction.Exampe:- put a board on that concrete incline and then stand on the board....you could do that all day long. Now put that board on the rollers and stand on it and see what happens. Even the most slippery muddy ground has a bucket load more friction to offer the tyres of your 4x4....especially when the mud clearing lugs chew down to firmer ground.

Tyre technology for mud clearing side lugs wont be able to clear the rollers from underneath those vehicles on that incline.

A graphic demonstration, but people looking at that demo, should not think that their LSD is of no benefit to them.

While we're at it....we're keen to swap our Landcruiser for a late model Silverado 4x4 Duramax/Allison....this is a genuine offer.....any takers???

Yeah I know...."Tell him he's DREAMIN'"

Cheers
Rick

You might want to turn the sound down on that video, just noticed some descriptive language.

Yeah Bob....I don't know that these diff locks are all that they're cracked up to be....here is a guy who obviously has one fitted to his GMC/Duramax, but I think he seems disappointed with the results.

What do you think???

Yeah Bob....I've still got my trainer wheels on here.....ha ha ha...

I guess this would be a good outfit if you had to clear your own campsite and dig a toilet trench....ha ha ha

Whoops there's a glitch in the embed video thingee...it only allows you to put 11 characters in the string after the "v="...this one has 16 characters.....we got a problem here huston.....

Bob...that Glitch would a 2 minute fix for David.....all he has to do is change the characters number in the format for the You Tube address CELL....Maybe to allow 20 or 25 characters...don't know how long those strings can get...too many you tube vid's to view them all....

Cheers
