G'Day,
I read somewhere,and now can't find it,that if you haven't used the heater for a while and the diesel has sat awhile,to add kero or metho to clear any alge. Ours is a Webasto
I think the post I read mainly related to Dometic Heaters,but if I add whichever to my Webasto,it should also help. Any advic appreciated.

I believe the go is that metho will mix with water and heklp clear water from a fuel tank.
The kero is to prevent algae growth - I don't think it will clear it. Once you have the growth it needs to be drained - plus clean filters of course.
