We are travelling in WA and fly back to NZ on the 11th of October. Can anyone help us with ideas for storage for our BT and land cruiser for up to 8 months, in Perth or north..... cost effective and obviously safe. Please email us direct mrobby@xtra.co.nz or ph 001164 27 4485629. Marg and Robby.

I sometimes wonder if Van Storage is worth a "tab". There are forever questions being asked about availability at various locations.

I know that "She Who Must Be Obeyed" and I will be looking for van storage in Perth region in about 12 months time, and albet have done some cursory internet searchs havent really found much to get excited about.

Agree with your sentiment Leigh and Mita.

We too are looking for somewhere to store our BT and Cruiser for a couple of weeks in Perth around end of November. Marg and Robby if you hear of anything we would really appreciate if you could let us know.

At the moment all we can come up with is Karrinyup Waters Caravan Park in the camping area. Bet that will be expensive too.We have yet to investigate properly.

OR we thought of somewhere like Gin Gin.

Cheers from Coronation Beach near Geraldton

I may be able to offer some help, albeit on a commercial arrangement. You'll have to make up your own minds as to whether it is economically viable or not.

I have a storage unit in Mandurah, just south of Perth. It is 10 metres by 4 metres and would easily store a BT but I'm afraid it would not take a vehicle at the same time. It is in a complex of storage units with excellent security. Electric gates to get in and out and an electric roller door on the unit itself.

I can set up a timer so that 240v pwer can be applied to the van's systems for about 4 or 5 hours per week to keep the batteries topped up. The timer is adjustable.

At the front of the complex is a retail caravan outlet which may be handy if any maintenance items need to be carried out. There are washdown bays and toilets in the complex.

It is just off where the new extension to Kwinana Freeway crosses Pinjarra Road.

As I said, this is a commercial enterprise for me and is available for $75 per week.

I don't know about of here in WA but in Adelaide at Epic Storage they will store your car or caravan for $60 each per month stored out doors.
In Victoria at the Chelsea Heights Caravan Park they store caravans etc I think from something like $20 a week. I'm not sure. It's one of the 'Family Parks' group.
In my caravan book I notice Banksia Tourist Park in Midland WA 08 92502398 they mention Van Storage (Fee). I don't know how much but maybe you could ring them.

Hi folks,

We ended up deciding on Banksia Tourist Park. It is near to the airport and for a couple of weeks it should be fine.

Karrinyup Waters suggested their neighbouring property stores caravans: They are called All Things Theatre. Their contact number is (08) 9447 7636 or 0428 915 820.

Cheers from the wildflower belt

I have a brother who can offer short term storage on a large property in Parkerville for a modest sum. Good security.
PM me if you need details.
