Our Committee member Peter Spring "Motley" likes a wine and can tell a good wine from a bad one, but for the rest of us that may not know how to enjoy a good wine, here is the answer.

The secret of enjoying a good wine:

1. Open the bottle to allow it to breathe.

2. If it does not look as if it's breathing, give it mouth-to-mouth.

Lesson number 2 in enjoying good wine.

You will occasionally hear the term that a wine is "corked".

This is a very bad thing!

That cork is the thing that stands between you and the wine! Get rid of it!

In true Bogger spririt, preferably throw the cork in the fire so you are not tempted to put it back in the bottle.

Then get on with enjoying the wine, and as Brian says, it's better to apply mouth to mouth earlier rather than later.

Cheers !
Motley

Life's too short to drink bad wine.
