Can anyone tell us what warranty period applies to the above fridge.

Ours is coming up to 12 months and is making some funny vibration noises. Is still cooling OK.

We are not sure if we got all paperwork at purchase but only reference to warranty period is the Dometic Service Guide throughout Australia which indicates two years. Not sure now if other posts here had referred to 12 months only.

You will find that with the upright fridges it is only the 12 months, but with the chest type they have a longer period.

Hi Brian and Dianne.

We have the same fridge as you and had a similar problem. It turned out to be the bearings in the fan below the compressor behind the fridge. If you remove the rear bottom vent behind the fridge you should be able to tell if its the fan that's causing the problem. The warranty is 12 months as stated in the other replies. Ours was replaced under warranty here in Tamworth.

Thanks guys for the comments.

Russ ..... it sure sounds like the fan bearings as you have mentioned. We are getting it looked at now as our warranty ( if one year only ) is fast running out.

Have now had the fridge repaired under warranty ...... at the Waeco company operated repair centre at Varsity Lakes Qld ..... very close to the M1 Pacific Motorway on the Gold Coast / Burleigh Waters / Burleigh Heads area.

They are very good to deal with and there was enough room to get the Chevy and Bushtracker in for them to remove, repair and re-install the fridge. The local Waeco repair agent at Mullumbimby had insisted I remove the fridge from the Bustracker and bring it in to his workshop for him to repair. When done I could collect same and re-install into BT myself. Needless to say I told him not to bother !!!

Russ .... it was the fan under the compressor at fault as you suggested ..... replaced and now all OK.
