Got discusssing this model and somone had heard Toyoto were going to fit the 4.2TD six to this model. Seems because of the problems with the engine and the higher buying price sales are not good. Apparently you will not find one in a coal miners car park so that's saying something.

Apart from the fact that the 6 cylinder was discontinued because it could not meet emission requirements, even if that was fixed somehow, it is 6 cylinders long, the V8 is 4 cylinders long.
There ain't no room under that bonnet for 6 cylinders.
