For those with Telstra iPhone 3G or 3GS, in the last 2 weeks Telstra has enabled tethering (which allows you to use the iPhone as a modem for laptop or PC with your normal data pack).
So, you have the flexibility of quick browsing/email from the iPhone itself, and more-intensive internet usage from a laptop using the same data pack plan.
To enable, run iTunes on your PC (which needs to be connected to internet), and connect iPhone. A message will advise of carrier update, and install.
For details on using tethering ,

Not aware of one (if you mean for antenna boost). However, there are plenty of in-car charging options.
Best setup (in my opinion) is car radio with direct iPod input (the iPhone 3G has iPod built-in), which alows menu control of playlists, etc as well phone charging. Car radio with bluetooth supports hands free phone, plus phonebook and other services.
Example, see
Pioneer 6150BT
