G'day Ern,
I have not taken my BT up there but I have taken a camper trailer there in 2002 (so bear with my memory here). The main show stoppers I would think would be the wooden log bridge at Crystal Ck - which when we were there was in a poor state of repair. And the sandy bits at the point itself. The road terminates at a makeshift camp and there is some hard ground there but we moved slighlty to the north and found the sand pretty soft also the track was narrow (getting to the soft sand). Doesn't sound good and I hope someone has some better info for you.
Kind regards
Theo

It was the same in 2003.
A couple of years later we heard that the bridge had been vandalised so that nobody could get in. Could have just been a rumour!!
It was one of our favourite places on the Cape. We camped up the beach a few kms on a creek. Caught plenty of fish. What a great almost secluded spot!
Look forward to going back there some time.I would think minus the BT.
Regards
Dianne

I was there in 2007 and can't recall any dramas. I've certainly hauled the rig over far worse terrain. Rod
