A couple of days ago we were parked up in a nice remote spot well to the north of Leonora WA. It was an old gold mining site with five worked out pits. We strolled down to one of the pits to have a look at the water and got a real surprise - the whole pit was full of GOLDFISH. Red ones, orange ones and multi-coloureds???
Alas it was the only gold I saw there..

Sounds like someone threw them in and they are thriving. In a few years time they will be big ugly carp.
