Has anybody taken a Bushtracker Van up any portion of the old Telegraph Track?
Particularly has anybody done any portion this season? What condition is the track in at the momment and are there any crossings that would stop you?

Hello Brian,
We took our beloved Mobi in the 7 or so k portion from the Bypass road into TwinFalls / Eliot Falls camp Ground last year (late August) - it was pretty easy with a few stretches where wheel placement of both tug and van had to be closely watched so as to not fall into some serious rain erosion channels running along the track. Scrubby Creek was about 60 -70cm deep with steep, small pebble surface pulls out each side - Low Range 2nd made it a doddle.
The camp ground had some easily accessible sites for our 19' van to fit (with exit angle slope of van hanging obver the typical post and cable deliniation fencing common in MAt Park camps areas)
We also went into Chili Beach which was quite easy as well - just had to watch head on traffic where the narrow one way bridges demanded real close attention.
Hope this helps.
Cheers - Ian & Sally
