I am having trouble getting a Waterproof tray to put under the washing machine, which is in a cupboard at the rear of my BT. The waste hose split open last trip and caused some water dammage to the base/front panel of the cupboards. Iv'e fixed the leak but want to put a tray under the washer to catch any future leaks. Any suggestions on where to source a tray? sizes 400mmW X 450mmL X 75mmH. Without paying too much. Also the fridge light no longer works and it's not the globe. I seem to remember someone mentioning a wiring "by-pass" at the rear of the fridge. If someone could explain that to me it would be much appreciated.
Ian.

Hi Ian just a suggestion - what about a "Black Plastic" heavy duty tub frm the local hardware - don't weigh much and completely watertight.

You can get one made to fit from a metal fab place., aluminium or stainless steel

The fridge is 12/24v and the cabinet lamp is 12v so they use a 12v voltage regulator IC to drop the voltage from 24 to 12 when using 24v.

Water spashes around where the IC is and the terminals corrode and it goes fizz futt and no more cabinet light. The fix is to rewire it for 12v only.

Re the fridge light.... probably a loose connection on the control box at the back of the fridge. or a poor connection around the mirco switch inside the fridge. You may be just able to get your hand into the rear of the fridge via the lower vent if you have small hands.

If not undo all the small screws surrounding the fridge inside the van. Remove the big retaining screw at the back of the fridge, unload most of the fridge contents to reduce weight and the slide the fridge forwars to give you more access space at the rear. Check all the connections - they are only the spade type and often can get loose on corrugations.
