We encountered some bull dust on the Cape York road.

we are just back into Mareeba and didn't see this lot, you didn't say where it was, Peninsula Development Road, Old Telegraph track or a side road. More info is better.
We parked the van at Seisia, because of power problems - no batteries lasted the distance.

This was taken on the northern section after exiting Lakefield NP.
The road was pretty good except for the occasional hazard.
