If you have the early versions of the Dometic windows fitted to your BT, and haven't as yet got the upgrade (insect) kits installed; Dometic supplied the kits at no cost for all windows to an address nominated by them, but close to my location, to be fitted at my expense. I will do the simple job myself as I have had the windows out before. All it took was an email to Dometic.
Our BT is a Dec 2007 model.

Sent email to dometic@dometic,com.au Atten After Sales service,
I received a call within 24 hrs from the Brisbane office (because I am from and still in Queensland) who offered the kits at no charge if I arranged fitting of same.
Chris Webster then emailed an order sheet of the window sizes, which was returned and the order received in three days.
It has taken me between 25 - 35 minutes per window to fit, and you realy only need a cordless drill (Plillips screwdriver attachment) and a flat blade screwdriver. Easy to understand instructions were supplied with the kits.

Try your luck

Guys, take advantage of this Dometic generosity - I approached Dometic earlier this year and the kits [complete with replacement grommets] were provided at a cost of $150+ plus a second set of screws [the plastic grommets were priced at $1 each and I did not need any of them and Dometic refuse to take them back so I have 100 spare grommets].

cheers

Hi folks,

We duly emailed Chris Webster who has been lovely to us over the last couple of years.

He said he got his 'butt kicked' for giving the free upgrade kit the one time and he won't be doing that again. He said he had 'learnt his lesson'.

Cheers

Allan and Sharon
