BT wheel alignment in Perth metro. Can anyone help with the name of a reputable service centre to realign the wheels and adjust brakes .
The 15k kl trip from Qld to WA has scrubbed out 75% of the outer edge of both near side bridgestone duellers.

I know that members Brad & Denise have had a wheel alignment done from these folk:

Big Wheels

On that website, click on Franchises and you will see a Perth outlet located in Forrestfield.

I highly recommend Big Wheels to do a good job. None of this doing it as manual operation as described by BT. I had it done at the factory and it was way out. I recorded an immediate decrease in fuel consumption as well after having it done.
Best of luck.

Hi All,

I had a similar problem to Barrie (Maximus), went to BTi when the van was a little over 12 months young for a service, after which the fuel consumption went thru the roof and we got extreme wear on the edge of the near side front tyre, did the field check and found the measurements to be within tolerance, rotated the tyres and the same happened with the near side front again.
When we got to Perth I booked into BIG WHEELS at Forrestfield where they found the cam had been installed in reverse and there wasn't any adjustment, the wheel was over 6mm toe in. After 4 hours we got on the road again with an assurance that all will be good once more.
I found Gary and his techo's to be very courteous and they listened to what I had to say. If you are in the area and require an alignment check BIG WHEELS is the place to go and I would highly recommend them.

THIS IS AN UNPAID COMMERCIAL, I DO NOT HAVE AN AFFILIATION WITH THE COMPANY!!!!!

Hi Wayne & Sue
Yes we had the wheel alignment done at BTi as a 1000km service. Thought we were doing the right thing. Big mistake. It was out by a mile.

On our return to WA after noticing tyres being worn incorrectly took it to Big Wheels who have done a great job. Done 10,000kms since over all sorts of roads and have had no abnormal wear.

Cheers

We have also had a bad experience with a wheel alignment done by Bushtracker at Kunda Park. In August 2009 put the van in for 10,000 km service ..... did not ask for wheel alignment as it was PERFECT before the service.

We noted an immediate increase in fuel consumption ( 3-4 litres per 100km increase ) as soon as we got out onto the motorway and soon realised that it was our rubber scrubbing off our tyres that was costing us the extra fuel consumption.

That is a mistake we will not be making again as we will not go near Bushtracker for our future wheel alignments.
