Any body had any experience with the new chemical free toilet system from Aussie traveller as advertised in the December issue of CMCA Wanderer.

Hello Wanderer,
Do you mean the SOG ventilation system?
If so there is lots of information on the
forum. In the
site search, (box above Shop, Sponsors and Members) type in SOG and voila you will have lots of helpful answers.
We have a vaccuflush and don't use chemicals. Which is great, particularly as we spend lots of time in National Parks.
Good luck with your search.
Kind regards
Allan and Sharon

Penny,
Don't worry about toilet chemicals too much. If you use it a lot and empty every day or two like we do you don't require chemicals in the Thetford setups anyway.

Brian, do you use BioMagic?
It is biodegradable and accepted in National Parks.

Jay,
We use good old water to flush with. Have recently put one of those stick on DUCK toilet deodorisers on the side of the bowl. They are meant for house hold toilets.
Don't use chemicals so we can empty anywhere.

Hi Jay
We started out with Bio Magic, but got even better results when we changed to Coles or Woolworths nappy treatment powders.

Any woolwash or other washing/soaking powders with sodium percarbonate does the trick. You can buy it very cheap and a 35% concentrate in a lot of brands.
We tried Bio-magic and found it did not work for us.
We have been using sodium percarbonate for 2 years now without a problem. Cheap, biodegradable, environmentally friendly, accepted in bio septic systems, etc.
