I have the VC leg; others do too.

I do not know much about the TAM leg.

Thoughts on why one might be better/easier to operative than the other.

It did not take me long to get rid of the stupid manual leg and change to a Trail a Mate leg after seeing what Nick n Off had to say. Best thing we ever did. Light and very very easy to use. Actually set it up in the same bracket that the VC was located.

Cheers

Hi There
We to have got rid of that under preforming BTi fitted thing tried making a solid tyre after a couple of tubes still useless for a van of our size why it was fitted in the first place is beyond me
Now have a Trail a Mate fitted where it was in the same braket very very good have just fitted a VC permently fitted wind up stand on the other side of the A frame which is on a swing up mount for travelling this can also lift van if needed proving to be a great addition for us also
Next proper rated new chains and Ds
cheers
Geoff

Had a Trail Mate on my old van. First thing I did was dump the old one and replace it with my trusty Trail Mate.....and dont regret it.
