Anyone wanting to purchase one of these fantastic and economical 12V fans for their van should look at their closest Whitworth Marine outlet as they presently have these on special of under $150. Normal prices are $190 - 215.

Can also order by mail from Sirocco Fan

I agree.

I picked one up at their Leederville (WA) outlet before Xmas.

I jumped on the net and found a cheap, but well made, articulated TV arm. I'm going to mount the fan on that and it will then be able to be directed on to the bed as well as the seats.

Cool.....

With our van design we were able to mount the fan so that it can used over the bed and over the seating/eating area. We use the articulated arm that it comes with and just mounted it close to the corner (side of fridge) so that it can reach around the corner. The gimbal mounting then allows direction to anywhere in the van. It works great.

Funny you should mention these particular fans We picked one up last week from Whitworth Marine, Mosman Park, WA. Wayne installed it yesterday. It's great and hardly uses any power. It also compliments the air conditioner when its on. We thought we might get another one. Should have done it a long time ago!!!

Those that want a breeze across their face and body during "heat" might consider the Bora fan by the same company and also sold at Whitworth. They are smaller (more costly); we have one installed on each side of the bed attached to the wardrobes.

We also have the Sirocco installed on the ends of the OHCs which will aim at the bedroom and/or table and kitchen area.
