So where are all the travellers?

We have a pretty good beachside van park here at Bargara, big grassy sites and only a few metres to a good swimming beach.
A short walk to the pub and restaurants. A longer walk to our place.

Went down this morning to see if any BT’s were on site and the place is nearly empty, only 8 vans.
Owners say it’s been this way for past few weeks.
And this is normally a busy period.

Can only assume that some over dramatised press reports have frightened everyone away.

I drove down to Gympie and back on Monday and only saw 2 vans, both heading south, one was a Bushtracker.

If you are thinking of coming this way the weather conditions are good, around 28º with light sea breezes and we do not expect to be affected by TC Yasi.

So take advantage of the (nearly) empty van park, the local traders need some business.

This will give you all the info
Bargara Beach C/P

If you prefer not to have a slab the grassy sites up the back are fairly large.
Look at sites 154-159 or 131-126 on the van park map.

If the weather is warm and you want max sea breeze there are good slab sites at the front opposite the beach.
