We have just completed a 5000km shakedown from the Gold Coast, QLD to Quorn, SA to attend the
Bushtracker Owners' Group Muster - what a hoot!!
More on that with some photos in another thread.
We are pleased to report that our 24' BT - our Studio Apartment on wheels - passed with flying colors. All systems worked as designed whether overnight at a roadside stop or on power.
The van towed straight and true behind our F450 - The Big Red Beast - as though it wasn't there. We averaged 25l/100K towing; 17/100K not towing.
To be totally honest and cover all bases there were a couple of hiccups - a broken drawer latch, a very small leak, the hitch needs a bit of adjustment, and we are going to move one water tank to increase the weight on the ball.
Frankly, given the size and complicated construction of our custom home, the hiccups are just that - small potatoes compared to our amazing home.
Thank you BT Factory and Employees; you did yourself proud when you delivered our BT.
