Hi Dianne, We replaced our 190L Frostbite with a fridge from Solarzone. They have a range of 240 volt fridges they convert to 12volt. They were the only people we could find that could supply a fridge that would fit (nearly) into the space. They are not cheap but the workmanship is excellent. Fitted ours 2 years ago and have been over all the "rough" tracks in WA, NT, Qld etc and it performed better that the original fridge. Have a look at www.solazone.com.au and give them a call and talk to them, we found them very helpful.

Hi Dianne, We replaced our 190L fridge with a Nova Kool from Ocean Solutions Brisbane in October 2010. We purchased a RHU8320 (206L) two door fridge freezer with the BD50F compressor. This is an upside down fridge and is what the wife wanted. The fridge was a challenge to fit into the existing opening. It required the opening width to be enlarged to 591 mm. Without a major cabinet remake this was only just possible. We did the refit ourselves and this also entailed putting a 100 mm lift under the bottom of the fridge. We also purchased a different fridge controller which allow for auto switching to 240 volts when available. It is our view that the cabinet is better insulted and the hinges and catched are far better than the old fridge. Since the change we have been very happy with the performance.
