I'm sitting here at home south of Perth watching the news about the flooding in Mitchell in QLD.

We passed through Mitchell last winter and I thought I would look on Google Earth to confirm that it was the town I was thinking of.

So I went to Google Earth, entered "Mitchell QLD" into the search window and then went to Streetview to confirm that the spot I was thinking of was actually where we parked for a short break.

And bugger me if I thought I saw ourselves, except it was a 100 series, not our 200.

But it was a Bushtracker, parked there just as Google's camera car went past. You can even see the camera's shadow.

Put these lats and Longs into Google Earth, then select Streetview.

Is that you?

Did you turn around and have a look over the road in front of Memorial Park?

Hi Stephen,
I did a similar thing with Google, put in our address and blow me if our BT is notsitting in the driveway for the whole world to see. We lived in Elliott NT, 16 Macrae St. I believe it is still the same now.

Just a word of caution: this thread is in the section of the Forum that is open to the public. Everyone in the world can now see your address. If any future posts of yours indicate that you are away from hope the outcome may not be nice.

I suggest you ask the Admins to delete your post.

Got us leaving town. Interestingly it took Google 12 months to update it.

Dependent upon where you live near map may give you monthly aerial photos of where you live.

Nearmap site

You may have to signin but it is free and quality is great.
Also great to just look around with. See the latest in road construction etc.
