You have chosen well, Bet you are getting excited!
We stayed at the Big 4 "Forest Glen Resort"
71 Owen Creek Rd Forest Glen 4556 Ph 0754766646
It is quite nice as expected from all Big 4 Parks.
It has large sites easy to get into & only about 4 to 5 Km from
Bushtracker, (via the back road) you can / could walk out the back corner about 500 mtrs to the shops.
The alternitive is Cotton Tree, which is on the beach, in my opinion small sites & crowded, if you go there they have good cheap meals at the Bowls Club nearby.

We used Maroochy Palms. Good cabins and large grass sites down the back near the ornamental lake.
Close access to Bunnings for your towel rails, Woolies for your toilet chemicals, Supercheap for wheel chocks etc.
And only 5 minutes or so from Kunda Park.

I'd second that, Maroochy Palms is the way to go. It's a Big 4 and more reasonably price than Forrest Glen. We used it when we picked up our van on 1 March this year. Used.cabins for 2 nights and a powered site for the first night in the van. We spent the night outside
Bushtracker iafter our first 1000km ready for the first service before we headed back to SA.

Jars, what size is your van; what is your tug? If you are big; Palms is the better option than FG.

Yes getting very excited. Its our second, but first new, BT van. 20' towed by 200 series. Only stick with the best!!
Thanks for all your suggestions of places to stay.We anticipate couple nights in a cabin, 1 or 2 nights in van while we sort out cameras, fit out etc, tour around for the 1000 k bit, then if timed right, head to NSW for BT Muster then home to SA.
Any suggestions for good bush/beach camping while we do the 1000k before the service would also be appreciated.
Cheers
Jar & Pam
