There is detailed information on programming a new remote in the owners manual. However, at the eighth turn of the key the door locks do not operate. This indicates that the programming is not functioning and I then cannot program the new remote. Have checked the internet and can't find any further information on what the problem could be. If anyone has any ideas I would appreciate any responses.
Thank you
Chris

Buy a toyota!!! Sorry mate, it's just my sick sense of humour. All jokes aside. try sending a member message to
bog member NIK "N" OFF. He may not have seen your post. I know he had an f truck for some time, and if he does'nt know the answer. He will probably know a web site you can try.
Good luck.
Cheers Spydor & Robyn

The vehicle was more than likely originally sold by American Performance in Coolaroo Vic if you contact them they should be able to help

Hello Ron,
Have tried your suggested site a number of times, but unfortunately the following comes up:

So I can't get into the site. Also, I purchased the F250 from Ford in 2004. If you have any other suggestions that would be great as I still would like to program the remote.
Regards,
Chris

Chris,
I don't suppose Ford Australia would be of any use or have you tried them?

Bill,
Yes, have contacted Ford and they gave me the same advice as what is in the handbook. I purchased the remote online for about $15 and going by the price of buying new remotes through dealers new remotes are very expensive. I have some reluctance to go to Ford, and also because it is an F250 I am sure they will charge an arm and a leg to find the problem, that is if there is one and then they may blame the remote because it was not purchased through a Ford dealer.

Might be worth giving Eagle Spares Dandenong a call. They carry a fair amount of Ford spares and have been helpful with info. Regards Andrew

Dusky,
As an F250 owner I would be interested to know if there is a conclusion to the problem you had with the remote.
