Has anyone travelled along the Oodnadatta Track recently. We are currently in the NT and plan to take this route then up the Strezlecki into Cameron's Corner in late July early August. Wayne

May pay to ask locals re the Strzelecki Track (perhaps call the Lyndhurst Hotel - and say Hello to Adrian as well). Neighbours told me last Sunday that the track is currently closed and is affecting their plans for a Desert trip.

I have just checked the ExplorOZ web site where they have road conditions and the Oodnadatta Track is open but the section William Creek to Oodnadatta is only open to 4WD,

For the Strezlecki Track they have the following
Strzelecki Track - Mt Hopeless to Innamincka
Closed
Closed between Mt Hopeless and Moomba.
It is FLOODED.

Might pay to check the SA Transport site for latest info before you go as you are then getting it from the horse's mouth, rather than 2nd hand. This department (Pt Augusta office) is the one which determines if these roads are open or closed.
