I am in the process of setting the van up for full time touring. Now looking at fitting two leg rests for the cafe style seats.
Can anybody give me some ideas on drop down supports . I have spent hours wandering through Bunnings and can not find a suitable solution. I want the supports to be strong enough to sit on. I can just see after a couple of quality reds that they may receive some unexpected traffic.
A few pictures of some existing installations would be very much appreciated.

G'Day, I've always been thinking about doing what you're undertaking. Any chance you could post what it's costing. Would save me going through the process.

No problem Tracks n about.
So far I got
Bushtracker to make me up two panels to match the cupboard doors in the van. You do not necessarily need to do that but I liked the idea that they would match. I think that cost $180. I brought two piano hinges from Bunnings can't remember what that cost but wisent much.
Just ordered two sets of spring loaded folding supports as above. Cost $70 with postage.
Next just some time putting it together.
