I was just looking at the Camps Australia Wide web site and saw that they now have an APP that gives all the camp locations and photos in an iPad or iPhone app.

The cost is $51.99 with an annual live update fee of $29.99.

I saw that if you have updated to the IOS6 operating system then the mapping available will only be the iMaps which at this stage are nowhere near as good as the old Google mapping.

The new spiral bound book format is RRP of $89.99

The ratings for the App vary from very poor to very good.

Has anyone on this forum downloaded and used this APP?

Try wikicamps for $2.99 (when i bought it) found it to be great.
You can out the prices in and comments like a forum, and of course you can read others comments and prices, this is unpoliced to a degree so you take things as always with a grain of salt.

the great thing i found was the map view, brings up on a map all the camp/caravans sites in the area you are in. I believe that you need mobile phone service though.

Thanks for the information Frank.

Wikicamps looks like good value for $2.99 and allows for user input of comments, photos and new camp sites.
If you download all the information to your device then it is also available when off line.

I have already downloaded it.
