I saw a BT coming through Bridgetown this afternoon - came down Steere Street and turned South. I was too far away to jump up and down and wave.

Can't help you on this one but in travelling for work all over the eastern states we see a number but very rarely are we able to get their attention, even overtaking and waving the UHF out the window. So please owners, if you have a UHF have it on so we others can say HI.
Dave.

Hullo Dave
Having the UHF on is one thing, having it on the "right" channel is another :-)
I always travel with it on 40. Is that what you use?
Cheers
Andrew

Yes we use 40 at all times except on the Pacific Hwy north of Newcastle where they use 29. When we see BT's we always firstly try them on 40 and then if no response try 18. If still no response we get disappointed we have not been able to chat to another BT owner.

Hi MH we came through Bridgetown (actually refuelled) on Sunday 7th around 1.00pm
heading towards Perth with Silver Landcruiser Trayback and 18'
Bushtracker.
We did have our set on channel 18 but didn't get to speak to anybody the whole trip.
cheers, Michael & Joan

Hi Michael and Joan
I didn't see you - but I only come into town occasionally. It just shows how many BTs there are out and about.
