In 2011 we paid $994 for insurance; 2012 $774: VERO insurance with a $2500 excess. We are advised VERO no longer insure imported vehicles. We have a quote from NRMA Insured value $100,000 Excess $2000 Premium $1988.
Any Chev/GMC owners have any better offers for insurance. No. 1 Rating for Life and no claims ever.

It is very expensive for 4WD insurances now. My last renewal on 2002 F250 was $900 but only a $400 excess with RACQ.

PS.
There appears to be a doubling up of the title "Secretary". You can change it in manage members where it is down the bottom of your details.

Hi Dave
I apologise, after checking with Margaret and Norty, I was to correct the "screen name".
You are right Margaret does work very hard on behalf of the members as do all the other Committee members.

Thanks Noosa - Despite being an RACQ member for over 40 years, they would not insure the GMC being an 'imported vehicle". Norty argued that 250s are imported, but apparently it is OK if they come through a dealership. So we gave RACQ the flick. Our broker is shopping around at the moment - plus we have had a slightly better offer from RYNO.
D&P thanks for the information - we might give it a try.

Just re-insured my Chevy with NRMA. $100,000 agreed value, $600 excess, premium $1,080.00. This was in Brisbane.
