I suspect you might be referring to the Kimberly Kruiser - see http://www.kimberleykruiser.com/

I previously owned a Kimberly camper trailer and was thoroughly pleased with it and its bush performance. Before ordering our Bushtracker, we looked closely at the KK. A factory visit only had the first KK available at that time but we also saw it / another at one of the shows later on. There is much to like about this van but - at least in my view - there are some things that don't sit quite right for off road travel. Also the weight of the early KK did not deliver on the "light weight" claim. Each to their own but I am absolutely impressed by, and happy with, our BT van.

Regards

Jim

Yep to the school bus. I reckon it looks like a horse float - interestingly, one of the models is called Black Caviar!

Friend of ours bought one of the Kimberley Kruisers, and yes, the Black Caviar model. I will get a look in a couple of weeks, The hubby jokes a bit about feed for the nag, but I couldn't possibly even think that.

Air suspension on it, and pretty swish, but try to fit anything to the top like satellite TV dish, and it totally spoils the lines. Reclining chairs inside, two TV sets. Think it was something like 2400kgs dry. Another KK friend will be looking over it tomorrow. He was impressed with first look the other day

hi pete
are you on the big island yet
roaming around other chat sites seems the black caviar model (lotsa bells & whistles) is $124950 & weighs 3 tonne roof may not be able to support much weight

There are two different "vans" in the Kimberley stable. The Kimberley Karavan is the 'pop up / fold out' version that has been around for a number of years. The Kimberley Kruiser is the latest addition - a full sized van that has been around for about 12 months.

Cheers
