Hi
Anyone having problems with their Waeco Coolmatic RPD-175 compressor fridge, if so what are the problems. I understand
Bushtracker will not install them any longer, any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks Terry

You'll find they won't perform in cool climates. I understand that this is due to Waeco fitting the thermostat EXTERNALLY (go figure). If you're under warranty, Waeco agents will fit a switch that lets you manually select day or night mode so that the fridge will operate in lower (night) temperatures. We've not been near enough to a competent Waeco dealer yet, so can't comment on the fix. Ridiculous that you should need to do this, but that's their "fix'.
It's about 5C outside right now and our Waeco is set to maximum cold, yet managing only -5C in the freezer according to our monitor. Not bad for a fridge that costs about four times the price of a domestic fridge, hey?
