Hi all, has anybody had anything to do with the Mud Map M7 off road navigator?
Am thinking of buying something a bit better than my old Garmin Nuvi which doesn't have off road capability. Any advice welcome thanks.

Hi Michael,
I have not used the M7 but do use my ipad with the mud maps app. Very happy with this and it allows you to use a variety of maps as well all the usual ipad functions. Need the 3G pad with gps obviously but will function perfectly without service. The big screen is good and there is a wide range of maps available.

We have Mud Maps on our iPads and iPhones also. Purchase them and you can use them on all your devices for the cost of the one set, and they are updating the maps regularly.

Michael, a step along the way is to check your Nuvi first and see if it has a slot for a Micro SD card. I added a Topo Australia and New Zealand 2013v 4 to mine just recently. They are available even on auction sites. The off road capacity is available then, plus turn by turn navigation with more up to date maps

I have had a copy of Mudmap on my iPad but have a good collection of maps suitable for OziExplorer so have an in dash system, but backup will be on an inexpensive Android tablet with built in GPS. My preference on an iPad would be the Hema software I think
