Hello Everyone,

Is there an easy way to obtain all the passes necessary to travel from Thargomindah to south west WA via The Great Central Road without having to contact all state authorities?

Thanks in anticipation

Paul

Not sure where from this end, although an enquiry at the tourist info centre in Alice will point you in the right direction.
I do know that coming from the West, you just call in at the tourist info centre in Laverton & they are issued on the spot, or at least they were around may last year.
Apart from that it's a simple process to apply on line & the permits are emailed to you which you can then print out, that's providing you are just passing thru the "Lands" & not asking for access to the communities along the way.

Probably never David, We had permits but there was never any suggestion that someone might actually check them.. They are easy to obtain - but if they were not I would not bother.

No centralised system Paul. This covers most of the Aboriginal Lands transit permits.

If I have missed any, please let me know.
