Hi.
Just doing a bit of maintance, and realised that the van brakes from the factory are not fitted with offroad magnets.
Anyone know of a supplier, of quality offroad magnets, at a reasonable price.
Cheers Ken

G'day Ken
If you are just upgrading the magnets, then no comment from me.
If however you are changing out/ refurbishing the brake shoes as well, we found it was cheaper by far to replace the complete backing plate, shoes and magnets purchased as a unit than to replace the magnets and shoes alone as single item purchases.
Weird hey.
Cheers
John

Hi John
You are right about that,
cheaper and better to replace the whole lot with ALKO OFF ROAD.
The magnets on the Dexter had worn at the back to an oval shape and were wearing the arms as well, when you have a good look at the Dexters magnets just flopping around on the arm, it's obvious that they are not going to last off road or even some of our secondary roads.
As said you me by the exPhoenix guys now Caboolture Caravan Repairs,
"Aussie brakes for Aussie roads/vans."
Cheers Ken
