Folks,

Planning to visit Mount Moffit (Carnarvon NP) in 10 days or so. Has anyone travelled the road in from Injune lately and are you able to advise on conditions. Towing 20 ft BT with 200 series LC.

Best wishes

John

Hi John
We travelled to Mt Moffat last May/June. The road in is gravel most of the way. There were some corrugated areas but they weren't real bad. The only hairy bit we struck was a creek crossing which was pretty washed out, but still passable with the BT.
Nice place to visit. Rock paintings, the chimneys, etc.
There is a ranger station there, so maybe a call to them for a more updated road report. Mr Google should be able to come up with their ph number.
U need to take all your own supplies.
Enjoy. We did.
We also did Carnarvon Gorge, which has a number of short and long walks. All depends on your fitness.

Thanks Pete,

As luck would have it I bumped into the ranger at Charleville and he has been into Mt Moffat two weeks ago. Road is OK and he confirmed no problems for BT (subect to no rain). Also met Leigh and Mita (BT Owners) in Tambo who gave me some great tips on camp site
