We have the A&E 9000 awning. It is all managed from the ground and has a metal cover wrapping over the awning when rolled up.
30sec job to pull out or put away.

I agree with Alan's post. We upgraded a while ago from an Aussie Traveller Coolibah. That was a strong awning but a bit of a pain to erect and put away. The A&E 9000 is very quick and simple - zilch effort. We nearly always peg down if staying overnight. I think there have been some issue with the motors on the electric jobs burning out.

John and Jean.

Dear John & Jean.
We are considering doing the same as you.
How neat was the conversion and is the final result undetectable when looking at the van?
Could you possibly post or send some photos?
To Ibees ... not wanting to hijack your thread so hope you are Ok with this.

Very neat job as you would expect from
Bushtracker - you would not know there had been another awning there. Camera is playing up at the moment but I will see what I can do.

Be aware that Dometic no longer put that protective roll of alloy on the A&E 9000.
