Hi All

Our toilet hatch suffered from the willy willy effect over the weekend. and the nylon or plastic washer that held the lever in place to raise and lower the hatch is no more. so every we time we try and use it the rivet come out of the track and the hatch just flops about in the wind.. I m planning to drill out the rivet and replace it with a small bolt washers and a nylon nut. Has anyone done this mod or is there a better solution other than replace the hatch :)

Are you talking about your toilet window and the brace that hold it open?

No. the roof exaust hatch, the wind up mechinism attaches to the lid of the hatch on a track to raise and lower, the washer that held the rivert in the track crumbled under the sudden wind pressure

I had to replace our hatch a while ago. The UV made it brittle and a falling branch or something shattered it.

I have thrown some paint on the new hatch to help with UV.
