In six weeks of travelling in four states we have only sighted about 9 Bushtrackers. Only one is known. Last night at Narribri Showground we saw member Streaky (Lloyd and Heather).
Did we see you in any of these places?
7 July someone was parked five kilometres west of Nundroo
9-12 July St Pats Racecourse Broken Hill we saw one, possibly two BTs as we saw on leave but the following night there was the same or similar back at St Pats.
13 July we saw a BT driving through the Barrier Highway
14 July a silver BT at Tibooburra caravan park
18 July Noccundra
23 July travelling north, just south of the Angellala Creek Bridge south of Charleville
24 July at Cunnamulla, and older style (steel sides like ours) small BT. Also came into Bollon campground and left again later in the day.
Yesterday afternoon (13 August) when driving back to Narrabri after sightseeing we were talking about not having seen a BT for ages, when we drove in to see Streaky's rig. Then noticed another BT at the far end of the grounds.
Not sure of date or where but we also saw a BT being towed by a truck. Our UHF seems to have been on the blink for past few weeks, so have not been able to call up those seen on the road, and will not have heard anyone hail us on the road.

We must have missed each other. Just got back from 4 months travelled over to Vic, then all the way up the east coast to Agnes Waters, back via western qld, cooberpedy and Kalgoorlie. Got back too early (cold down home) So we went to warroora station for a month!!
Cheers

We saw another today heading north on the Newell between Eumungerie and Dubbo. Well Rooster saw it, I missed it while looking at GPS. He thought it a small BT.
Now at Dubbo for a couple of days.

We are just back from a 3 weeks trip to the Tip of Cape York and have seen only one BT.
Currently at Mareeba Bush Stays with another BT (Stephen)
The van lived up to the expectations, driven to the conditions, with all tyres, Van & Effy on 26psi.
No flatties, no damage, nothing but a lot of fun and great weather.
Cheers,
Marinus & Janna

Ours is having a rest before heading out for a week or two rolling around the granite country & looking at the pretty flowers.
Saw one in at Rockingham RV centre getting some work done recently.

Enjoy the local scenery Mick and Vickie. I am missing wildflower season at home, but happier to be touring new places :)

As we were crossing the Qld NT border on the Savannah Way we came across another BT crossing at the same time. After a few pleasantries he asked where we were from. WA I replied. So are we. I asked him, You're not the bloke from Mandurah? No, he replied, we live in a suburb no one has heard of called Rossmoyne. I asked if he lived next to Richard .........? Yes he exclaimed! I replied, We live about ten houses away around the bend! I had been meaning to make contact with him for ages but didn't expect to do it 4500 km from home! So when we both get home we will have a (very) mini muster and probably a quiet beer! Small world eh!!
Ps we have been away for three months and have seen quite a few BT's.

We are in Alice Springs at the MacDonnel Range caravan park with four other BT's. We did stop and talk with three BT's last week who were heading to Boulia on the Plenty as we headed towards Alice.
We leave on Monday heading towards WA on the GCR

It takes all sorts ... many years ago I spotted a BT parked in the MacDonnell range van park, I should have known by where they were parked that they were anti social ... anyway I went over to say hello .. you would have thought I'd asked for his 1st born ... I got a very unfriendly response ... so I left them to it

All sensible BT owners, not like us down in the cold, frost and snow, but exciting for the old Rooster to see and touch his first snow yesterday.
