200 series cruiser has just ticked over 230K, and i am in the process of fitting my second power steering rack. ( 3rd if you count the original rack). OK, we have done a lot of corrugated roads which i suppose puts extra pressure on the rack, But replacing one every 150 thousand kilometres is starting to annoy me. Not to mention the cost factor. even a reconditioned unit is over $2,000.00 fitted. Have any other members had a steering rack leaking oil?

Hi mate, You are on the right track. However, last time i checked, it was illegal to rob banks. and that is the ONLY way i can afford another cruiser. Never mind, Life goes on. At least we are having fun along the away. (at a cost )

I have been fortunate to get a new 200 Dec 2017 but I had a Jul 2008 200 which had 230000 on it and I had to have a rack replacement at approx 150000 or thereabouts.
