Hi
The other day after travelling in a strong crosswind I noticed when we stopped that the white shroud on the air conditioner was missing. I wonder if this has happened to anyone else and where a new shroud was purchased. On inspection of the air conditioner I noticed that the fins on the condenser are corroded so it may be time for a replacement. Our van is 20ft 2006 model. Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks
Ken

Hi
Thanks for the replies. I have since found out the cover and the condenser for Dometic Model CAL136.312 are no longer available but a cover from another model may be retro fitted. Has anyone fitted the Truma Aventa and if so are they OK? Has anyone removed and replaced the air conditioner themselves? Is it a job for Bushtracker or can the local fridge man do the job?
Regards
Ken

I've read about a few failures for the Truma Aventa.

The Dometic Harrier Inverter model seems to be getting some ticks.

Dometic Harrier

See if you can contact Nik'n'Off. He just fitted one.

I recently replaced the shroud on my 2005 van which was a CAL136. I got this from caravans plus. The original cover was quite brittle and probably would have disappeared on the next trip or two.

Recently changed our 2007 Dometic AC over to their newer inverter model with the help of Brian Fox. A reasonably simple job but I did have to remove the Winegard aerial as the new AC was slightly longer.

So far I can say we are very happy with its operation but mainly used on heat. Approx $1800 from My Generator on line.
