Hi,
I want to share a reoccurring issue with the SOG.
This is our third van with a SOG and we’re very happy with the it.
As Roachie mention that he forgot to swap the plug for the exhaust tube, well that happen to us several times with the result that that forgetting is an issue at times.
Never an issue with off road etc, the only thing is that over time the hose starts to wear in a position which is not easy detectable as the hose goes in a sharp bent down wards, in the inside of the bend an actual hole was worn in, better be good then to have a problem on our hands.
I’ve modified the actual hose adapter with a standard 20mm electrical conduit elbow and a short piece of conduit. Perfect fitting the hose and the adapter. Glued the parts with ‘Professional Super Glue’ from Locktite for the right angle adapter and the elbow and tested it. When the lid is closed there is no strain on the hose and the best thing is it’s facing upwards from the exit point and therefor nothing can go further up the hose and actual collect something in the hose to the filter.

Cheers,
Marinus
