At the top of Island Point Road (off Wharf St), you’ll discover the stunning scenic views from Flagstaff Hill Lookout. Interestingly it was originally known as ‘Billy Goat Hill’ in the early days when goats were prevalent in the district!

Have your camera handy for the great photo opportunities and breathtaking views down to Four Mile Beach and out to the Coral Sea.

If you are feeling energetic (and fit!) you can walk up the hill to reap your panoramic reward. Along the way, discover the old landmark lighthouse. Don’t forget your hat, sunscreen and water bottle.
