Information
The new Logue Brook Camping area (built 2015) has replaced the camping on the banks of the dam. Each site is conveniently located to an Ablution Block and Camp Kitchen. Book via the Lake Brockman Tourist Park website (link provided in contacts).
Five camping loops, comprising 125 camp sites in total. Only the first two loops, Quokka and Bunuru, are open most of the year. There are sites suitable for tents, campervans, caravans and camper trailers. The sites have been compacted quite hard so hammering a tent peg in can be difficult, if not impossible.
BYO potable water, firewood (seasonal) and something to boil a billy on when you cant have a fire.
There are five barbecue shelters with gas barbecues, food preparation surfaces and picnic tables with bench seats. They did not to include gas hobs for boiling kettles etc....
Each camp site has a fire pit with a barbecue plate and a picnic table with bench seats. Fires are usually permitted, in the provided fire rings only, between April 15 and November 30, but fire restrictions may be imposed at any time and without notice.
Wheelchair accessible long-drop toilets and untreated water are at each camping loop. There are two camp sites designed for wheelchair access.
Generators are allowed between 8am - 9pm.
Dogs are allowed on leash at all times.
There is a sullage dump point near the entrance to the campground. The key is available from Lake Brockman Tourist Park.
The tourist park also has a cafe open 10am - 4pm.
There is a pleasant walk trail around the campground which follows the edge of the dam to the dam wall.
