Information

Frenchmans Rock is the location where English Capt. Matthew Flinders found freshwater when navigating the North Coast of Kangaroo Island in March 1802. A few weeks later he met Nicholas Baudin who used the water supply some 9 months later. A crewman inscribed a message on the rock in 1803.
