Information

The HMAS Brisbane was sunk, after decommissioning, a couple of kilometres off Alexander Headland on the Sunshine Coast. Its new task is to provide a fish habitat and a dive site.
A memorial was then established at the top of the cliff at Alexander Headland in the form of the prow of a ship. It points to the site of the sunken vessel.
Views of Alexander Headland, Mooloolaba and Maroochydore are to be had from this location as well as a panoramic view of the Point Cartwright lighthouse.
