Allen's Plain Hut, now derelict and tumbled down after being undermined by rabbits, was dragged here on a sled from Mungo Station.
Immediately north of the of the hut, Mallee scrub starts again on the red sand. Emu Bush and Hop Bush are common in the area. The Rosewood trees in the area are heavily infested with mistletoe, which are popular for honeyeaters and mistletoe birds.
