Information

These gardens, operated by the Blue Mountains Rhododendron Society, cover a substantial part of the 30 hectare property located just off the Great Western Highway at Blackheath. Set on both sides of a valley, the floral displays include areas of Rhododendrons, Camellias and Azaleas plus a wide range of compatible flowering shrubs. Much of the original bush remains so that the floral display is against the background of Australian native vegetation. Among the blooms a lodge is located that contains tea rooms. Below the lodge a viewing platform provides a panoramic view of much of the area. Walking paths, some unformed, lead among the introduced shrubs and natural vegetation.
