Kwokralup Beela, is the traditional name for the Frankland river. The nearby rapids are of significance to the traditional owners as well. The indigenous group that lived in and around the Walpole Nornalup area were called the Minang meaning "southerners" or people of the south.
Like all 12 of the huts along the Munda Biddi trail, The huts are open at both ends with 4 sleeping platforms, 2 rainwater tanks fed from the roof, 2 picnic table and chairs, a bike storage hut, a toilet (a drop toilet, and occasionally with toilet paper provided!) and some camping areas.
