Rooney Creek Pool - WA

This magnificent waterhole is an expansive pool situated in the eastern extremities of the Rooney Creek. It is approximately 70 meters across and 4 meters deep indicating it would last a good while during drought conditions.

It is approximately 10 km to the east of the Desert Queen baths camp area and is accessible via a track that shoots east from the track that heads from the DQB campground to the cave on the opposite ridge. Keen eye may be needed in some areas but it was still well defined in May 2023.

We have simply called it the Rooney Creek Pool in the absence of any other name for it.
