Information

Located 174km east of Marble Bar on the Oakover River and not far from Woodie Woodie. Bitumen road to within 15 kilometres and then an easy gravel track in. Once there it is a sand bed to get close to the water hole. Recommended 4WD and off road campers and caravans only.

This site has long been a favourite camping area, with a long gorge lined by pebbles and massive river red gums. In 2004 Cyclone Faye actually ripped out and washed away all the gums. See before and after pictures above.
