Silo Art - The Water Diviner - Barraba Silos by Fintan MageePainting started 25/03/2019 7 took 4 weeks & 280 litres of paint to finish.Barraba & area has a long history of finding water by water divining especially during dry times.The silos were built in 1965 in 8 days by continuous pour. Laying of the foundations was hindered because there was a natural spring underneath it. The silos are 40 metres high and sit beside the 99km Tamworth to Barraba train line which is no longer used.The silos are now privately owned by Simon & Amanda Koopman and allowed the silos to be used for the art work.
